Skyrim LE

Make sure to clean and error check the load order with xEdit before running DynDOLOD as explained in the Prerequisites. The Batch Plugin Cleaner for Mod Organizer or the xEdit Cleaning Extension for Vortex help to automate some of that. Typically something like the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch is required to fix unresolved errors in the vanilla game files. Refer to modding guides how to setup the base game properly including Crash Fixes and ENBoost.

It Just Works

Mods listed here are confirmed to just work. Only mods that add objects as neverfades or that should have object LOD are listed.

If the guide is followed step-by-step no special actions or additional settings are required. This is the case with most mods, it just so happens that these mods have been verified that object LOD generation works and looks OK.

1 Custom mesh mask rules included in DynDOLOD or the mod itself. DynDOLOD rules supplied by mod take precedence. Rules for this mod are added to the mesh mask rules list automatically if the plugin filename is found in the load order when using the Default, Low, Medium or High buttons. See Merged Mods in case mods are merged.

2 Contains new/updated LOD assets or defines full models as object LOD. New/updated LOD assets or full models defined as object LOD are used automatically.

3 For performance reasons some or all new objects added by this mod are ignored because they are hidden from view behind town walls. To generate LOD for these objects, remove plugin name from ignore list in ..\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\DynDOLOD_[GAME MODE].ini or town worldspace name from ..\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\Configs\DynDOLOD_[GAMEMODE]_mod_world_ignore.txt

4 A select list of objects added by this mod have LOD. Edit ..\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\Configs\DynDOLOD_[GAME MODE]_childworldlod_Tamriel.txt to add or remove references which are ignored when generating LOD.

5 The plugin needs to be cleaned
